The Nampa 12th Avenue Family Medicine and Specialty clinics are now hiring for a driven and compassionate Medical Assistant! About this Position: This MA position will be supporting a Family Medicine and Sports Medicine provider. As an MA, you will room patients, take vitals and collect medical history, perform phlebotomy, immunizations, and prep injections, and perform Point of Care and other tests. You will also assist with any minor procedures and other tasks related to sports medicine orthopedics. An ideal candidate is one looking for a broad variety of work, but also interested in working with a sports medicine specialty! Work Schedule/Locations:This position will work 40 hours per week, and can work 4 - 10 hour days, within a Monday - Friday schedule, around the hours of 7:30am - 6:00pm, no weekends. This position will work at the Nampa Health Plaza on the Nampa Medical Center campus and also at the 12th Avenue clinic in South Nampa. You will go through an initial phone screen with the Recruiter and then will interview with a hiring team from our Medical Group Nursing Leadership Team. Clinic locations and specialty areas vary based on current openings, including the 12th Avenue Clinic. The Orientation and Training Process As you are transitioning into Saint Alphonsus Medical Group, our Clinical Support Team will provide an orientation program that will be critical to your success whether you are a new or experienced MA joining our team. Our goal is to provide you a path to a successful integration into a clinic setting or remaining part of our support team as a float. Your Choice! Our Orientation offers a comprehensive, individualized orientation program that focuses on your needs and provides you with the knowledge and confidence to apply and work in either a primary care clinic or a specialty clinic. Once orientation is completed, you decide if you want to be a part of our clinical support team (a float pay differential would be added) or if you want to search for a "home" clinic.   • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
    • American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
    • American Medical Technologists (RMA)
    • National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
    • National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
    • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
    • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire General Requirements:
      • Previous clinical experience preferred.
      • Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus.
      • Experience with process improvement or LEAN philosophy preferred.
