We are looking to hire a Medical Technologist in Nampa! This
position will be located at our Nampa Hospital off I-84 and Garrity
Blvd. This is a full time, evening shift position.
As a Medical Technologist at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you
will perform tests related to the diagnosis and treatment of
patients by utilizing various medical laboratory procedures in the
Clinical Laboratory. You will correlate and integrate other patient
data when interpreting test results. You will use professional
judgment and have an in-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques,
scientific principles, quality control, and instrument maintenance
as well as recognize problems, identify causes, and determine
alternative methods and solutions.
Our ideal candidate will have knowledge in all areas of the
laboratory and familiarity with applicable clinical laboratory
equipment. Must possess comprehensive knowledge of at least one
specialty such as Hematology or Chemistry or have considerable
knowledge in many sections of the laboratory. Must possess a high
degree of precision and accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related science
- Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS),
Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or equivalent certification by
the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) required or
registry eligible and obtained within 1 year of hire date.
