Purchase Order – Inventory Analyst
Job Title: Purchase Order Clerk
Location: Parma, ID
Pay: Depending on experience
Compiles information and records to prepare purchase orders for
procurement of material.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Verifies process and specifications of purchase requests. Searches
inventory records or warehouse to determine if material on hand is
in sufficient quantity. Writes purchase order and sends copy to
supplier and department originating request. Compiles records of
items purchased or transferred between departments, prices,
deliveries, and inventories. Consults catalogs and interviews
suppliers to obtain prices and specifications. Computes total cost
of items purchased. Maintains packing slips and purchase orders and
verifies invoices from suppliers and secures managers approval for
payment. Pick-up and delivery of requested parts or equipment from
shop or vendor to various company shed and farm locations. Assist
shop manager in maintaining company vehicle registrations, titles
and DOT compliance requirements.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have
knowledge of Accounting software; Contact Management systems;
Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Order
processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing
Education and/or Experience
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to
six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
