Now Hiring!Full Time Home Health & Hospice Administrator for our Nampa and Payette, Idaho offices! Location:Signature Healthcare at Home3904 E. Flamingo Ave, Suite 100Nampa, ID 83687 Work Schedule:Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM Overview:The Home Health & Hospice Administrator is responsible for the overall direction and oversight of a specific Signature location or territory. He/she is responsible for planning, coordinating, managing and directing all activities and programs of Signature. In addition, the Administrator establishes, implements and evaluates goals and objectives for the business location. Please apply on line for this position here: -Organizes, directs, coordinates and delegates administrative functions of the program, including admission, discharge, transfer, revocation and provision of service to patients.-Plans and directs operations to ensure the provision of adequate, appropriate, and comprehensive patient care.-Establishes a formal means of accountability on the part of staff members and maintainscontinuing liaison among the governing body and the staff.-Provides staff orientation, continuing education, information on applicable laws, rules and policies, resource materials, and staff development to effectively implement and continue the program.-Appoints a Clinical Manager and/or Director of Professional Services to provide general supervision, coordination and direction of the medical, nursing and other direct patient services of the program.-Ensures adequate and appropriate staff resources are available during all services hours to meet the care needs of patients.-Designates (in writing) and oversees orientation for a qualified alternate to be available during operating hours in their absence and provides the Designation of Authority form to the Governing Body for approval.-Ensuring that personnel employed shall be qualified to perform their assigned duties and that agency practices are supported by written personnel policies.-Recruits, evaluates and retains qualified personnel to maintain appropriate staffing levels using measurable outcomes and objectives.-Ensures personnel records of staff with patient contact shall include: qualifications; applicable licensure or certification; orientation to the agency and its policies; performance evaluation; documentation of participation in staff development, in-service, or continuing education; documentation of a current CPR certificate; and other safety measures mandated by state/federal rules or regulations.-Assists in developing and implementing agency policies, especially those addressing safety measures to protect patients and staff as mandated by state/federal rules or regulations.-Fosters a no-blame culture that encourages reporting of safety and quality of services issues.-Ensures that personnel practice within the bounds set forth by the applicable state licensureboards and company policies and procedures.-Ensures there is a written contract between contract personnel and the agency that specifiesthe following:Patients are accepted for care only by the primary home health agency;o Services provided by the contract worker;o The necessity to conform to all applicable patient care policies;o The responsibility for participating in developing plans of care;o The way services will be controlled, coordinated, and evaluated by the agency;o The procedures for submitting clinical and progress notes, scheduling of visits, andperiodic patient evaluation;o The procedures for payment for services furnished under the contract; ando A statement to the effect that the contractor does not engage in patient discriminationbecause of race, creed, color, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, and diagnosis.-Ensures that the clinical record and minutes of case conferences establish that effective interchange, reporting, and coordination of patient care between all agency personnel caring for that patient occurs.-Implements an ongoing program of budgeting and accounting.-The annual operating budget shall include all anticipated income and expenses related to the overall operation of the program and shall be reviewed and updated at least annually by the governing body.-Coordinates agency services with other community health care providers and collaborates with outside agencies and vendors for effective management of services.-Conducts an annual evaluation and maintains documentation of reports and communications to the governing body.-Receives complaints and directs investigations by the agency against the agency or agency personnel.-Reports all suspected instances of abuse or neglect as defined by state law, to the appropriate state authority.-Ensures that all agency personnel, including volunteers authorized by the agency, provide services in accordance with agency policies and procedures.-Ensures that interdisciplinary care is provided per conditions of participation and company policy.-Provides conflict and complaint management and resolution.-Assumes ultimate responsibility for the running of the QAPI Program, Safety Committee and all compliance related activities, including but not limited to ensuring site compliance with industry clinical documentation requirements.-Ensures adequate space, equipment and supplies are available to staff.-Ensures organizational compliance with legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements.-Ensures standards of ethical business and clinical practice are maintained.-Assumes responsibility for continued self-development of professional knowledge and practical skills.-Oversees the accuracy of public information, materials and activities of their location.-Meets established schedules and deadlines.-Support mission, values and goals of Signature Hospice, Home Health & Home Care. The incumbents may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those stated in this description.-Registered Nurse -or- Licensed Physician -or- Undergraduate degree with experience in health service administration with at least 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience in home healthcare or a related health care program.---Demonstrates an ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.-Displays aptitude to work with electronic systems and equipment such as email, voice email, cell phones, faxes and computers and electronic calendar/online meetings.-Ability to deal tactfully with the community.-Knowledge of corporate business management, federal and state regulations.-Understands services provided to patient and family/caregiver through an Interdisciplinary Team.-Intimate knowledge of federal payment programs, such as Medicaid and Medicare, required.-Must be licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements.-Knowledge of specific Home Health or Hospice accreditation standards.
