Now Hiring PRN Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant/CNA Must be available to work Monday-Friday 7AM-4PM Must be CNA Licensed in Idaho Coverage Area: Boise, Eagle, Star, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, Emmett Signature Healthcare at Home - 3904 East Flamingo Avenue, Suite 100, Nampa, Idaho 83687 The Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant/CNA is responsible for performing personal care needs, promoting comfort, and promptly attending to the requests of the patient. Provide personal care including bathing, toileting, dressing, skin and nail care, and oral and personal hygiene. Plan and prepare nutritious meals for the patient, and assist with feeding. Observe patient status and monitor vital signs, and report any significant changes to the Case Manager. Assist with ambulation, exercise and range of motion procedures as an extension of therapy services. Keep patient's living area clean and orderly, and assist with light laundry needs. Provide respite for patient's family and caregivers. Must be 18 years or older. Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a CNA in this state. Current CPR Certification. Must have a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance. Understand philosophy of hospice concept and the needs of the terminally ill. Must be comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill, with empathy towards the needs of the ill, injured, frail and impaired. Must be secure with issues of death and dying. Possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a non-judgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles and ages. Must be a self-starter and use good judgment in difficult situations. Willing to be on call and place patient's needs first.
