Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist
to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role,
the Pharmacist will be responsible for managing medication therapy
and improving patient outcomes. Our facilities provide a
collaborative environment where your expertise in medication
management will play a crucial role in the recovery and
rehabilitation of our patients. You will work closely with
healthcare professionals to ensure the safe, effective, and
efficient delivery of medication to patients overcoming major
health challenges. Assess the appropriateness and effectiveness of
medications. Consult with healthcare professionals to tailor
medication treatments for patients. Monitor patients' medication
therapy and outcomes. Ensure safe, accurate, and efficient
dispensing of medications. Provide patient counseling and education
on various drugs and their interactions. Maintain accurate records
of all medications in compliance with regulatory policies.
Participate in clinical programs and health promotion as
applicable. Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals and their
indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper
administration. Ability to communicate complex medical information
to health professionals and patients. Expertise in clinical
pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. Excellent organizational
skills and attention to detail. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance 401k Active Pharmacist license in the state of
practice. Board certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS)
preferred.
