Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Meridian, ID Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,087 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Must have 2 years of Med-Surg experience. Must have EPIC experience. Must be able to read and interpret telemetry. Must be willing to take students and may precept new travelers. Description: This is a Medical-Surgical unit with a total of 42 beds. The nurse to patient ratios are typically 1:5, with occasional 1:6, which very rarely happens. Common diagnoses include respiratory issues, gastrointestinal conditions, and behavioral health concerns. Patients who have been in the emergency room for more than one day may be admitted for discharge planning. There is a Charge Nurse on each shift who will rarely take patients unless necessary. During the day shift, there is also an ADT nurse responsible for admissions, discharges, and task management. There is a certified nursing assistant or patient care technician staff available at a ratio of 1:8. Respiratory therapy equipment includes CPAP and BiPAP, which respiratory therapists manage, along with high-flow oxygen needs. Registered nurses are expected to read and interpret their telemetry strips. Currently utilizing SpaceLab for monitoring with a transition to Philips expected soon. Shifts are scheduled for 12 hours starting from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Travelers must fulfill 5 weekend shifts within a 6-week period, with holiday requirements as needed. Floating may occur between Med-Surg units and can extend to an overflow unit if necessary. Any color of scrubs is acceptable, provided they are clean and professional.
