The Nurse Extern will work closely with experienced nursing staff to deliver patient care, while also learning essential skills and competencies needed to excel in their future nursing career. Assist registered nurses in daily care activities, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols. Monitor and record patients' vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse. Participate in patient assessments and contribute to care planning. Assist with patient mobility and patient personal care activities. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients. Attend educational workshops for skill enhancement and professional growth. Basic knowledge of clinical procedures and medical terminology. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team. Time management and organizational skills. Flexibility and ability to adapt to dynamic situations. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must be obtained within a standard grace period after hiring. HIPAA compliance training.
