Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation, an established leader in
facility-based and home-based patient care, is seeking a seasoned
Pharmacy Director to oversee pharmaceutical services across our
network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and home health
agencies. As Pharmacy Director, you will ensure the cost-effective
and efficient management of our pharmacy operations, enhance
patient care through innovative pharmacy practices, and uphold the
highest standards of compliance and ethics. You will play a pivotal
role in shaping our pharmacy policy, managing pharmacy staff, and
collaborating with other medical professionals to promote holistic
patient recovery and care. Lead and direct all aspects of the
pharmacy operations across the network. Develop and implement
policies and procedures that ensure optimal pharmacy performance
and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Manage the pharmacy budget, including the procurement of drugs and
supplies. Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance of
pharmacy staff. Collaborate with medical and administrative staff
to ensure integrated, holistic patient care. Stay updated on new
medications, technology, and industry developments, integrating
best practices into the department. Monitor and analyze the
effectiveness of pharmacy services in improving patient outcomes.
Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills Deep knowledge of pharmacological
regulations and standards Ability to analyze and interpret
pharmaceutical data Proficiency in managing budgets and controlling
costs Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k
Current and active Pharmacist license in the state of practice.
Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy Specialists (BCPS)
preferred.
