Job Description:
Join the innovative team at Saint Alphonsus Health System as a
CT Technologist PRN, where your expertise in radiological
technology helps us provide the highest standard of
patient-centered care. As a key team member within our
state-of-the-art medical imaging department, you will operate CT
(Computed Tomography) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of
patients bones, organs, and tissues that assist in the diagnosis of
medical conditions and diseases. Using the latest in diagnostic
imaging technology and adhering to strict safety protocols, you
will support our mission of holistic patient wellness across Idaho
and Oregon. This PRN position offers flexible scheduling to fit
your lifestyle while ensuring the effectiveness of our health
services. Operate CT equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic
images according to physician orders and ensuring patient safety.
Collaborate with the radiology and healthcare team to evaluate
patient requirements and provide appropriate medical intervention.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and
comply with all healthcare regulations concerning radiation use.
Prepare patients for CT scans, explain procedures, and answer any
queries to alleviate patient anxieties. Document all procedures and
maintain accurate patient records in the electronic healthcare
system. Regularly inspect and perform basic maintenance on CT
machines and other radiologic equipment to ensure operational
functionality. Provide support and assistance in other radiologic
procedures as needed. Proficiency in operating CT imaging equipment
Strong understanding of radiology/imaging procedures and safety
Excellent patient communication, care, and management skills
Technical proficiency with healthcare database software Medical

Certified and registered as a Radiologic Technologist (R.T.) by the
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Valid state
licensure as a Radiologic Technologist is required Certification in
Basic Life Support (BLS)
