General Job Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including angioplasty, stenting and catheterizations. Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients with cardiovascular conditions. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans. Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies. Monitor patient progress and response to treatments, adjusting care plans as needed. Address and manage acute cardiovascular emergencies and complications. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records. Skills: Advanced knowledge of interventional cardiology techniques and procedures. Strong diagnostic and clinical judgment skills, particularly in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in cardiology-specific medical equipment and technology. Ability to handle complex and often urgent medical situations. Flexibility to adapt to new work environments and different medical teams. Minimum Education Requirements: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). Fellowship in cardiology, with specific training in interventional cardiology. License & Certifications: Board certification in cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). Additional board certification or fellowship completion in interventional cardiology. Active and unrestricted medical license in Idaho. Experience: While specific requirements may vary, most locum interventional cardiologist positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience providing care in a clinical setting.
