Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Experience: Minimum of 1 year License:
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must have 1
year of ICU experience. Comfortable with first-time travelers. Good
team player. Description: Department: ICU Number of Beds: 10 Nurse
to Patient Ratios: 1:2 Required Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS
Common Diagnoses/Types of Patients: Heart Failure Respiratory
Failure Sepsis Vented Patients GI Bleeds Strokes TPA Post Codes
Pneumonia Post Surgical Complications Travelers will not take CRRT
patients. RNs are required to titrate drips. Common Titrated and/or
Set Rate Drips: Propofol Levophed Dobutamine Vasopressin Fentanyl
Epinephrine Diltiazem Charge Nurses do not take patients.
Administrational Support is on-site 24/7. Crisis Nurses available
24/7. CNA on each shift. Hospitalist on-site 24/7. Intensivist
available via telehealth 24/7. Respiratory Therapists in the ICU
24/7. Monitoring Techs are not present on this unit. RNs are
required to read strips. Equipment includes Vents, High Flow, and
BiPAP. Shifts are scheduled by the unit scheduler. Shifts can be
blocked or grouped together. Weekend requirements are as needed,
with a goal of every other weekend. If there is a need, holiday
coverage may be required. There is no call or standby requirement.
Floating requirements may occur to other units with an aim to
maintain staffing ratios. Scrub colors must be clean and
professional. Expect 1 to 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation
depending on experience.
