Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a
Labor & Delivery (LDRP) position in an acute care setting,
requiring an ID or compact RN license and strong L&D and
mother-baby skills. \n \n Responsibilities\n Work in a 14-bed LDRP
unit within an acute care hospital Care for laboring and postpartum
patients, including triage and circulating in 2 OR suites for
C-sections Handle 4 triage beds and participate in approximately 90
births per month Follow AWHONN staffing standards with common
ratios: 1:1 for labor, 1:3 for postpartum couplet care, 1:3 for
triage Manage a patient population 32 weeks gestation and greater
with conditions such as HTN, BACs, TOLACs, some gestational
diabetes, and antepartum needs Support a diverse community with a
high number of patients transitioning from home birth Utilize EPIC
for EMR and Centricity for EFM systems Night shifts, 12 hours each
(7p-7a), with weekend coverage as needed Float to L&D,
Postpartum, or Antepartum units at all sites within the St. Lukes
Treasure Valley region as required Orientation includes four shifts
covering C-section, labor, and postpartum care, plus compliance and
EMR training Hospital-issued scrubs required with change in/out at
beginning and end of shift; no acrylic or gel nails allowed No call
requirements for this role OB hospitalist, neonatal NP, and
anesthesia are on site 24/7 Resource and charge nurses provide
additional unit support; charge RNs do not take patient assignments
Certified surgical tech and CNA support available per shift, CNA
coverage may vary First-time travelers are welcome to apply Travel
duos will require separate vehicles due to floating requirements
Returning employees must have been gone for at least one year prior
to consideration Holiday shifts may be required based on unit needs
\n \n Requirements\n Active ID or compact RN license at time of
consideration Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience
required Mother-baby experience required, with at least 1 year
preferred Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE Experience
attending deliveries, performing 1 hour of newborn care, triage,
circulating C-section, postpartum couplet care, and handling
magnesium protocols Experience titrating drips, including Pitocin,
Magnesium, and occasional Insulin drips Ability to float within
primary skill set at multiple sites EPIC EMR experience preferred
Must provide two recent references (one supervisor from the past 12
months, one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years) Driver’s
license required Must live outside of a 50-mile radius from the
