Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, Stable Must-Have: - Comfortable floating between all specialties: ICU, MICU, MS-Tele, ER, etc. - Experienced with Level II NICU and initiating CPAP. - Familiarity with pediatric care in the ER. - Proficient in various respiratory treatments and managing respiratory equipment. Description: Department: Respiratory Therapy Responsible for providing respiratory therapy treatments to a diverse patient population, including NICU, MICU, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Expected to deliver between 25-28 treatments per day during an 8-hour shift. Competency in performing arterial blood gas measurements (ABGs) via radial or brachial access is required. Will manage various respiratory equipment, including Drager V500, Hamilton, ReVel, V60s, Vapotherm, and EPOC. Assists with intubation procedures, while working alongside hospitalists and intensivists who are available 24/7. Travelers may need to float to different specialties and facilities as needed. Expected to undergo unit-specific orientation with a preceptor covering general and ICU procedures. Must be flexible with scheduling and willing to work every other weekend and during holiday rotations. All staff are expected to maintain a clean and professional appearance in any color scrub. Call response time is approximately 30 minutes if required.
