Job Overview: We are seeking experienced and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Telemetry Unit on a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in cardiac and telemetry care, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will play a critical role in monitoring patients with acute cardiac conditions and supporting recovery efforts in a collaborative healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and assess patients with cardiac conditions and other acute medical issues. Administer medications and manage telemetry equipment. Perform NIH stroke assessments and provide post-cath lab recovery care. Document patient status and interventions accurately and timely in the EMR (Epic system). Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, RTs, and CNAs to ensure comprehensive patient care. Provide support in the management of patients with diagnoses such as CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, Stroke, Sepsis, Diabetes, CAD, Renal and Respiratory Failure. Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient conditions. Float to similar units or facilities as needed, including Med/Surg and ICU (if qualified). Comply with all facility policies, including infection control and safety standards. Skills: Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation Cardiac drip management (set-rate diltiazem, amiodarone) NIH stroke assessment and neurological monitoring Chest tube and post-cath lab patient care Experience with TR bands and Fem stop devices Knowledge of common telemetry diagnoses and treatment protocols Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills Strong documentation and EMR skills (Epic experience preferred) Effective communication and teamwork abilities Flexibility to float across units and adapt to dynamic care needs Additional Information: Ratio: 1:4 Support Staff: CNA (1:8/9), Charge Nurse, Respiratory Therapists Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Yes – travelers fill staffing needs Application Process: Please submit your resume to harshit.sharma(at)medcadre.com or Call 949-404-4671.
