  Job Overview:
  
  
  
  We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN to join our team at Nampa Hospital. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing care in both the Pre/Post-Endo Care Unit and Endo Intra-Op, ensuring seamless patient care throughout procedures.
  
  
  
  Key Responsibilities:
  
  
  
  Rotate between Pre/Post-Endo Care and Endo Intra-Op
  
  
  
  Prepare patients, start IVs, set up and prep procedure rooms
  
  
  
  Communicate with providers and educate patients
  
  
  
  Provide sedation for procedures
  
  
  
  Assist with Upper & Lower Endoscopies, Colonoscopy Screenings, EGDs, PEG Tubes
  
  
  
  Ensure proper room staffing:
  
  
  
  Pre/Post Ratios: 1:3
  
  
  
  Endo Intra-Op: 2 RNs & 1 Tech per room (or 1 RN & 1 Tech when anesthesia is present)
  
  
  
  Required Qualifications:
  
  
  
  RN License (active and in good standing)
  
  
  
  Minimum 2 years of experience in Endoscopy or related field
  
  
  
  Must be comfortable providing sedation (propofol experience preferred)
  
  
  
  Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
  
  
  
  Sedation Practices:
  
  
  
  Primary: Nurse-administered Propofol (requires RT presence)
  
  
  
  Alternative: Conscious sedation using Versed & Fentanyl
  
  
  
  Anesthesia available for patients requiring additional care
  
  
  
  Call Requirements:
  
  
  
  Weeknights: 2 hours of call (3:30 PM - 5:30 PM) when working an 8-hour shift
  
  
  
  Weekends: On-call every 10th weekend, covering both Nampa & Meridian campuses (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
  
  
  
  Holiday Call: None
  
  
  
  Call Response Time: Goal is 30 minutes; must arrive within 1 hour if living out of range
