RESPONSIBILITIES: \r\n
Labor and Delivery RNs (L&D RNs) are responsible for monitoring patients throughout labor and serves as the primary point of contact for family members. L&D RNs monitor baby's heart rate and provide immediate care to the newborn. L&D RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: \r\n

• \r\n
• L&D RNs perform knowledge of phlebotomy, basic IV and central lines \r\n
• Assess and record maternal vital signs throughout labor and post-partum stages \r\n
• Administer pain medication and other medicines as ordered \r\n
• Educate and support new mothers and families on infant care \r\n
