Polysomnographic Technician or Respiratory Therapist to our team in
Nampa. This is a full-time benefited position working 36 hours per
week (7p-7a scheduled days flexible); on occasion, our team members
cover shifts in the Boise and Meridian Sleep Labs.$10,000 sign-on

insuranceGeneral Summary and Purpose:Performs comprehensive
polysomnographic testing and analysis, and associated interventions
under the general oversight of a Registered Polysomnographic
Technologist and/or the Medical Director or designee.General
Requirements:
- Minimum two years of direct clinical experience preferred.
- Training in electroneurodiagnostics, pulmonary technology, or
respiratory care with emphasis on cardiorespiratory, neurological
and sleep/wake physiology preferred.License/Certification:
- Permit to perform polysomnography related respiratory care or
license to practice respiratory care from the Idaho Board of
Medicine required.
- Must be certified or registered as a Polysomnographic
Technologist (CPSGT or RPSGT) by the Board of Registered
Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)or Certified or Registered as
a Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) by the National Board for
Respiratory Care (NBRC)or registered as an Electroencephalographic
Technician (REEGT) by the American Board of Registration of
Electroencephalographic Technologists (ABRET).
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from
either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at
hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or
PALS.Essential Functions:
- Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the
Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices,
and decisions.
- Follows procedural protocols (e.g., Multiple Sleep Latency Test
(MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), parasomnia studies,
PAP and oxygen titration) to ensure collection of appropriate
data.
- Ensures the accuracy of documenting services and supplies
provided to the patients.
- Follows "lights out" procedures to establish and document
baseline value; follows "lights on" procedures to verify integrity
of collected data and complete the data collection process.
- Performs polysomnographic data acquisition while monitoring
study-tracing quality to ensure signals are artifact-free.
Identifies and reports signal abnormalities and make adjustments,
if necessary.
- Documents routine observations, including sleep stages and
clinical events, changes in procedure, and other significant events
in order to facilitate scoring and interpretation of
polysomnographic results.
- Implements appropriate interventions (including actions
necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention such as
continuous and bi-level positive airway pressure, oxygen
administration, etc.)
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize
and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and
education of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
patients.
- Scores sleep/wake stages by applying professionally accepted
guidelines.
- Scores clinical events (e.g., respiratory events, cardiac
events, limb movements, arousals) according to center specific
protocols.
- Inputs orders and task information in the powerchart
