Job Title: Accounting and Tax Manager



As an Accounting and Tax Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the monthly accounting and tax processes while providing excellent personal service to a section of our small business clients. You will interact with clients on a regular basis, and ensure our systems are running smoothly to provide accurate accounting information. Your goal is to maintain long-lasting working relationships with your clients and your team.



Location: Hybrid for Idaho Employees - regular monthly or quarterly management meetings in Meridian, ID, remainder of time is remote



Compensation: $70,000 - $105,000, depending on experience level

Responsibilities:
What You'll Do:
--- Provide exceptional, personal service to a dedicated section of our small business clientele.
--- Provide real insight to our clients into the financial strengths and weaknesses of their business to help their business thrive.
--- Supervise and manage monthly accounting and tax processes.
--- Lead client onboarding, monthly reconciliations, tax planning, and preparation efforts.
--- Work with a variety of accounting software, including QuickBooks Online, to keep client accounts accurate and up-to-date.
--- Engage in continuous professional development and help other team members develop their own skills.

Qualifications:
Who You Are:
--- Passionate about small businesses and experienced in managing multiple client accounts.
--- Upbeat and confident with a friendly personality.
--- A CPA or EA, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a public accounting firm preferred, and at least 2 years of accounting supervisory experience.
--- Tech-savvy with a strong proficiency in modern accounting software. QuickBooks Online certification is a plus.
--- Tax return preparation (1040, 1065, 1120S) experience required.
--- Looking for a role that offers the flexibility of remote work without sacrificing team interaction or career growth.
--- A self-starter, who researches and dives into new problems looking for solutions.
--- An effective communicator who thrives on building long-term client relationships.
