A prominent player in the agri-food industry is seeking an Assistant Plant Director to lead and optimize production, quality, and safety efforts at our facility. The ideal candidate for this critical role will possess a proactive, dynamic, and detail-oriented approach, along with the ability to handle pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor.Key Responsibilities:Financial and Production Leadership: Collaborate closely with the Plant Director to enhance financial and production outcomes, while ensuring adherence to regulations.Team Leadership: Provide positive and professional leadership to all production and packaging departments, aligning their efforts with company objectives.Quality Assurance: Oversee production practices to ensure they meet and maintain product quality in accordance with company and regulatory standards.Site Operations: Manage site operations and maintenance, motivating staff to meet production objectives.Communication: Maintain regular communication with department managers and the Night Superintendent to address departmental concerns.Performance Optimization: Focus on maximizing recoveries and product yields while maintaining the highest product quality standards.Resource Management: Efficiently organize the team's output, plan manpower, and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.Quality and Safety: Collaborate closely with the Quality and Food Safety Team to maintain product specifications and establish a safe work environment.Safety Protocols: Enforce and maintain safety protocols to achieve a zero lost-time injury goal.Specialized Knowledge:Proficiency in office systems (Microsoft Office & Prism)Familiarity with computer operating systems, word processing, data spreadsheets, ISO quality management systems, HCCP, and statistical process control.Strong understanding of agri-food industry technology, processes, quality, food safety, and health safety.
