Role Provide exceptional service to assigned market area. Lead the team to deliver consistent high-quality service to P1FCU members. Coach, mentor, train and lead branch/department staff in skills that reflect a service methodology and philosophy to create and foster a sales-oriented culture. Lead the team to exceed sales goals through attracting new membership and by deepening relationships by cross-selling to our members. Participate in the development, maintenance and execution of the P1FCU strategic plan. Ensure branch controls risk by adhering to required operational processes and standards. Support and lead the team through organizational change. Major Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrate support of corporate mission and vision. Hold self and team to the values of the P1FCU Credo and the Member Service Promise. Maintain a high level of confidentiality relative to any information received directly or indirectly as it relates to the organization, membership, staff and management.Acts as a Loan Officer, processing and approving customer loans within established policies and limits. Ensures that branch achieves assigned loan production goal. Conduct loan interviews. Process, recommend approval and/or close loans. May perform duties of Member Service Representative, Teller, or other operational positions on an as needed basis.Overall accountability for Branch/Department performance in Sales, Service, Employee Development, Business Development, Safety, Compliance, and Security procedures such as alarm, vault, locks and respond as needed to emergencies as applicable to the Branch/Department.In partnership with back office support as appropriate, responsible for employment, training, scheduling, motivating, evaluating, accountability and retention of quality staff. Proactively participate in training/skill building to close gaps and build proficiencies. Complete and deliver employee evaluations in a timely manner, verifying that all standards are being met or addressed with a plan of action to support staff success.Manage and direct branch/department activities and workflows to ensure efficient and effective operations as it relates to New Account, Lending and Member Services.Apply and evaluate policies and procedures set for the branch. Ensure that the branch is in compliance with credit union regulations and procedures, and federal and state laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration and other regulatory agencies.Manage the security and safety of the branch. Analyze and monitor security and safety policies and procedures on an on-going basis. Ensure that staff receives on-going training on security and robbery procedures.Understand and manage the financial stability of the branch, including, but not limited to, staffing of the branch/department, payroll costs including overtime, facilities maintenance, collateral control, financial reports, etc.Represent P1FCU and provide leadership in key community activities including business, charitable, civic and social organizations. Educate and introduce current and new members to self-service options, with continual education as new products and electronic services are introduced.Develop and implement annual department budget; review monthly to analyze variances and assure expenditures remain within limits.Responsible to lead the team to deliver the expected service behaviors and results. Schedule according to forecasts, use the scheduling tools and follow scheduling expectations.Keep abreast of industry trends and developments with competitors through such activities as reading publication, contacting counterparts in other organizations and attending meetings, seminars and special events. Consistently read and respond to all correspondences, including emails and voicemail messages.Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Knowledge and Skills Experience Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience. Education/Certifications/Licenses A high school degree or equivalent Interpersonal Skills A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating, influencing or training others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. Must possess the interpersonal skills necessary to represent P1FCU in a professional, friendly, business-like manner. Solid level of public speaking skills are required. Other Skills Must be familiar with various computer software programs, specifically Microsoft Office applications. Learn and maintain a strong level of understanding of P1FCU's core operating systems and self-service technology. Must be comfortable with automated technology. Excellent organizational and communication skills are required. Ability to inspect, coach, teach and hold staff accountable to behavior and process expectations. The ability to inspire and successfully lead teams through change. A thorough knowledge of operations to coordinate the daily functioning of the facility, and to resolve employee and member problems. Ability to relate management goals and objectives to budgets and action plans, focusing on increasing profitability while maintaining superior member service. Ability to cope with pressure resulting from meeting schedules, supervising employees and dealing with impatient, irate members. Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement in interpreting policies and procedures, making exceptions when required. Ability to make decisions, take action and take responsibility for results. Ability to act appropriately in a business-like manner in any situation. ADA Requirements Physical Requirements Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Working Conditions Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled private office with minimal noise. Mental and/or Emotional Requirements Must be able to perform job functions independently and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to plan and direct the work activities of self and others. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be able to perform basic financial calculations with extreme accuracy. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities.
