Supports Executive Vice President (EVP) and Campus President in the successful deployment of strategic initiatives involving College-wide IT programs.Promotes the visibility of the College's programs to the general public and the business community, fosters creativity, partners with the Foundation Office to expand the College's endowment, and manages the College's human, fiscal, and physical resources. Leads a large and diverse faculty and staff that support a student body for the Associate Degree and non-credit information technology programs for professional development and industry recognized certifications. Provides academic and administrative leadership College-wide to ensure Tri-C's portfolio of IT curriculum and programs efficiently prepare the student workforce for the needs of employers. The Executive Director in collaboration with WCED EVP, College President, and COE Leadership will manage external industry partnerships and the development of industry Contract Training and Open Enrollment curriculum, programs and services. The Executive Director will maintain and provide leadership in effective external participation and partnership relationships with the business community, Workforce Connect IT Sector Partnership Intermediary, non-profit community, the City of Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio Means Jobs, and other local, state and federal organizations and Boards related to workforce training. Collaborates with the Tri-C Foundation to raise funds for the IT Center of Excellence. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS -- Proactively partners with internal and external stakeholders to meet future information technology workforce needs of the greater northeastern Ohio area.Provides leadership to ensure appropriateness, relevance, and excellence of instruction, curriculum, and educational facilities -- Serves as a member of the Workforce Executive Leadership team, the Western Campus Executive Leadership team, and Deans Council -- Provides College-wide leadership for IT programs, including supervision of IT programs, submission and presentation of academic program reviews, presentations for budget fiduciary oversight, submission of accreditation compliance documents, and all Tri-C compliance documents to conform with Tri-C policies, procedures, and schedules -- Collaborates with the college-wide leadership team to ensure strategic deployment of use of College programming and strategic use of College resources -- Responsible for the design, execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides reasonable assurance that operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded, financial information is reliable and compliant with applicable law, regulation, policies, and procedures. -- Provides leadership for IT Academic programs including the vision and overall development of academic policy, educational planning, and new program development to support student success -- Responsible for the Academic leadership for the IT Center of Excellence including staffing, rank and tenure assessment, articulation agreements, professional development, and promoting shared governance -- Leads College-wide efforts for collective impact that involves public and private secondary schools, regional community colleges, four-year college and university partnerships, workforce boards, community-based organizations, and industry partnerships -- Serves as a leader for the Regional IT Community College Consortium of four community colleges. Provides vision and leadership to the consortium and leads the quarterly meetings -- Responsible for the College's IT academic (degree and credential seeking) and workforce (non-degree seeking) programs, with focus on tracking and monitoring the enrollment, retention, persistence, completion, and post-graduate success -- Provides leadership for external grants supporting both credit and non-credit programs -- Provides College-wide leadership for partnerships aimed at improving the education and training of workforce students (External Learning experiences as co-ops, internships, etc.) -- Facilitates the development of innovative teaching methodology, including the application of technology to instruction -- Collaborates with the Curriculum Office to ensure that the appropriate standards, principles, and rules of the Higher Learning Commission are addressed for academic courses and programs -- Keeps abreast of federal and state developments concerning workforce affairs -- Interacts closely with leaders of the local information technology communities to develop the necessary relationships to ensure that the College cultivates value in its niche community -- Develops strategic marketing plan objectives in collaboration with the College's Integrated Communications department; implements effective marketing campaigns to targeted audiences and program offerings including: increasing and enhancing the internal and external community market perception and awareness of the College's IT Associate Degrees and workforce training courses via target market branding, advertising, and sales -- Collaborates with the Associate Deans to ensure that the College is the premier provider of IT talent in the North East Ohio region -- Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING -- Master's degree in a related field o Significant related experience may substitute for education -- Minimum of six to eight years of successful and progressive experience in Workforce Education, Higher Education and Information Technology -- Demonstrated Information Technology instruction experience in a Higher Education environment -- Demonstrated experience managing teams including selection, supervision, and evaluation of staff KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES -- Possess comprehensive knowledge of IT theories, concepts and practices with the ability to use in complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations as it pertains to the departmental focus -- Ability to coordinate internal and external communications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective rapport with the management team as well as community leaders. Ability to deal tactfully with all levels of people within the institution and the business community -- Ability to evaluate and analyze complex information from internal and external sources. Must be a self-motivator, energetic, and creative individual with proven leadership, planning, and administrative skills -- Possess excellent conceptual and planning skills and be able to relate well with other professionals within the college and the business community.
